Child's small "Little Duchess" vintage Mid-century real china floral tea set. This lovely set was manufactured in the 1950s in Japan and is part of the "Little Duchess" collection. It includes a lidded teapot and sugar dish, a creamer pitcher, 4 dessert plates, 4 matching teacups and 3 saucers. The dishes are a crisp white with a colorful floral motif and shiny 24k gold accents.
Most of the pieces are in usable vintage condition. One of the teacups has a small chip on the rim and should only be used for play, but drinking. The teapot has two small hairline cracks on the top inner edge, but is still very usable, and the gold detailing is in good shape with some little wear in places. Please see pictures for details. As with all breakable pieces, the set should be used with adult supervision. It would also make a lovely display set!
The teapot measures approximately 6"W x 4.5"H. The cups measure approximately 3.25" diameter, the saucers 4.75" diameter, and the dessert plates 6.25".
