Beautiful English earthenware brown Salt Pig with yellow embossed writing/design. Salt pigs were originally designed to stand or hang in the bygone kitchen to provide a generous handful of salt when needed. Not only is this a useful item, but highly decorative and could be used for many things. The item is in very good condition; however some minor cracking/splinters on the top that appears to be a manufacturing defect and does not effect the structure whatsoever.
